On Saturday January 11, the two organizations completed discussions and approved the merger of the Climate Defenders of New Mexico with our new 350 Santa Fe Chapter. This will be an opportunity to build on our strengths and share our resources.

CDNM has focused on Carbon Pricing initiatives for some time, supporting legislation for the state to introduce a carbon fee and dividend bill. The proposed bill gradually adds a tax on petro-sourced fuels (gas and diesel) while providing a dividend in a family tax credit. Our ‘Carbon Pricing Team’ will continue this excellent work as 350 Santa Fe.
