SUMMARY:Climate Interactive: Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Thursday\, July 23 to explore Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement (OAE)\, a pathway to boost the ocean’s capacity to absorb carbon dioxide\, now modeled in the En-ROADS Simulator\, co-developed by Climate Interactive and MIT Sloan. \nThis new feature\, developed in partnership with Ocean Visions\, enables you to explore an emerging marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR) technology and discover how much it could contribute to global carbon removal efforts. In this webinar\, you’ll: \n\n\n\nSee OAE’s potential\, including both mineral-based and electrochemical approaches\nExplore its dynamics and limitations\, and how it fits alongside other climate solutions\nWalk away with insights you can apply directly to your work\, decision-making\, and En-ROADS events\n\n\n\nClimate Interactive’s Technical Project Manager Sam Wellington and Senior Modeler Charles “Skuk” Jones will walk you through the new OAE feature in En-ROADS\, share insights on what the modeling reveals\, and answer your questions live. They’ll be joined by Ocean Visions’ Chief Scientist David Koweek\, who will share the latest on OAE research and field trials. \nRegister : 9 AM \nor \nRegister : Noon \nCan’t attend live? Sign up anyway and we’ll send you the recording after the event.
