SUMMARY:Green New Deal Class 1
DESCRIPTION:This four week class will look at a range of comprehensive responses to the climate crisis\, particularly the Green New Deal and similar proposals.  We will try to answer the question:  Why aren’t we doing more?  We will examine the pros and cons of the alternatives and discuss their implications for New Mexico\, the US\, and the world. Drawing on what we learn\, we will discuss how we can help mobilize public opinion in favor of immediate and meaningful action.  For each session there will be a short reading or issue to consider.
