The 2023 NM Legislature is debating whether to establish a Climate Investment Center or Green Bank (SB169). What is a green bank and why are they the next financial frontier in the fight against climate change?  Jordan Haedtler, Climate Financial Policy Consultant, recently relocated to New Mexico, will discuss this and other New Mexico bills implementing the Inflation Reduction Act on the state and local level.

Haedtler is a consultant with the Sunrise Project. He will also discuss proposals  to mitigate the exposure that New Mexico insurance policyholders, its  budget and pension funds and its displaced fossil fuel workers have to the risks of climate change.
