On Saturday, August 8th, Congresswoman Deb Haaland (NM-01) will host the second annual Going Green with Deb event to provide sustainability resources and fun for the community. In light of the pandemic, the event will be hosted virtually on the Congresswoman’s Facebook and YouTube pages and via Zoom. Going Green with Deb is aimed at making sustainability tools accessible to everyone no matter their socioeconomic status or where they live and bringing the community into the climate change conversation.

The webinar will feature a number of guest experts including,

• 350.org NM Coordinator Tom Solomon
• The Global Warming Express
• GeoStrategies CEO Brian J. Schmidly
• NM Project Development for Pattern Energy Manager Angela Gonzales
• SunZia Executive Director John Rya.

They will explore sustainable economies and businesses, climate change activism, and renewable energy. During the event, a raffle for a rain barrel will be held in which the winner must be online to claim.
