Join us in celebrating Earth Day! The County is sponsoring planting events across the community in April and May. We will be planting native and drought tolerant plants in five locations to restore natural areas and increase access to green space in our county. All are welcome to participate. No gardening experience is necessary. We will provide all the tools and training you will need!

You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own shovel, gloves, and snacks. These items will be provided if you do not have your own. Drinking water will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle.

Participants may attend one of two shifts, 9:00-10:30 and 10:30-12:00. Space is available for up to 20 people per shift. Events will be held on the following Saturdays:

– April 23: Santa Cruz Public Housing Development at 153 Camino de Quintana Rd, Espanola, NM 87532
– April 30: Arroyo Hondo Trailhead at the southern parking lot off Arroyo Hondo Rd
– May 7: Boys and Girls Club in Valle Vista at 8 Las Lomas Dr., Santa Fe, NM 87508
– May 14: Edgewood Senior Center at 114 Quail Trail, Edgewood, NM 87015
– May 21: Camino de Jacobo Public Housing Development at 57 Camino de Jacobo, Santa Fe, NM 87507
