Climate Impacts: Extreme Weather & Ecosystem Threats

In the wake of extreme weather events, including hurricanes Helene and Milton in the Southeast U.S., the urgency for effective climate action is clear. We invite you to join us for an eye-opening webinar on Thursday, October 17 to learn how our actions today can help reduce the severe impacts of climate change on our communities and the natural environment in the future. Select a session that fits your schedule:

Executive Director Andrew Jones will discuss extreme weather, like what he experienced with Hurricane Helene, and delve into the trends behind these intensifying events. He will also introduce two new graphs in the En-ROADS Simulator that demonstrate how climate solutions, such as phasing out fossil fuels and increasing energy efficiency, can affect the extinction of endemic species and the decline of marine life.

Don’t miss this chance to gain valuable insights into the far-reaching impacts of our decisions on both global ecosystems and our local communities.

Can’t attend the webinar live? Register anyway, and we’ll send you the recording.

We are grateful to the V. Kann Rasmussen Foundation for funding the new additions to En-ROADS that visualize the impacts of changing temperature on our natural environment.

We hope to see you there,
The Climate Interactive team
