The Santa Fe Center for Center for Emergent Diplomacy (emergentdiplomacy.org) is presenting an online
course/workshop through the University of Ottawa in Canada, offering
participants a deep dive into a new model for facilitating difficult
conversations about living in a time of frightening climate emergency. The
course is open to both university and non-university participants.

We will review (in non-technical language!) the latest climate data and risks
to daily life; get excited about extraordinary and little-known technologies
that offer the promise of fossil-fuel free living; confront the challenges to
global security from resource wars and climate refugees; and explore
together new communication and facilitation skills to help our colleagues,
family, and friends take personal and collective action for a more livable
future in their communities.

An introductory reading assignment serves as a launch pad for our journey
into the uncertain future. We will dialogue deeply together, building a
continuous teaching and learning community as we share our fears and
dreams, questions and answers, personal stories, and novel ideas.
The number of participants is limited.
