Hydrogen: Fossil Fuel’s Latest Hype

March 19, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 11:00 pm MDT

Join System Change Not Climate Change to hear from Ashley Kosak, who will discuss hydrogen, the process of how it’s created for energy use, and how the fossil fuel industry hides behind its potentially green application to preserve industry’s continued fuel production and infrastructure expansion. She’ll also highlight innovative technologies that might prove to be more viable solutions.

The presentation will be followed by an audience Q&A and discussion with System Change Not Climate Change’s Ted Franklin, who has been tracking federal and California state policy on hydrogen.

As a SpaceX engineer, Ashley Kosak created Project:EARTH, the first decarbonization effort within the company. A mechanical engineer, she is the founder of Green Aero, a Climate Innovation Agency that has been featured in media including the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Ecojustice Radio. She can be found hosting biweekly coworking events in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This event will stream via Zoom and Facebook Live simultaneously. The first 100 participants to log in via Zoom will be able to join the Zoom meeting. If you arrive too late to join on Zoom, just visit our Facebook page, where you will find the live streamed video during the event. Soon after the event, we will post an archival copy of the video to our YouTube channel.
