Description: The NM Environmental Caucus of Legislators is a group of state senators and representatives organizing to pass environmental and climate legislation and block false solutions. Keeping track of all the moving parts during the interim committee meetings and legislative sessions is a formidable task. Better organization and communication amongst the Caucus, legislative leadership and the voters will lead to better outcomes. The caucus aims to have a year-round independent legislative analysist to aid their work.

A strong Caucus will be especially important for the 2027 legislative session as it can set the tone for environmental issues in new governor’s first years.
