Come enjoy a Field Day at Myster E? Farms on planning for profit during drought conditions. This workshop is for farmers, ranchers, and land stewards who want to build drought resilient systems by improving soil health.
Learn about cost-effective techniques and strategies and access to resources such as grant funding and free soil testing. Network with experts and neighbors while enjoying a locally sourced lunch.
Topics include cover cropping, crop rotation and the soil health principles. Mark Marsalis Ph.D., Extension Forage Specialist at the Agricultural Science Center in Los Lunas will discuss forage varieties, where to source drought adapted seeds, and methods of planting.
