Description: The 2026 New Mexico session January 20 through February 19 will consider important climate legislation such as the Clear Horizons Act that is designed to put in law an orderly phaseout of CO2 production statewide by 2050. Learn about this and other priority bills including a bill that will increase the state residential solar tax credit to backfill the federal government’s abandonment of the rooftop solar tax credit. Other bills will grapple with the environmental impacts of proposed AI data centers.
We’ll review our list of priority 2026 climate & energy bills and demonstrate the use 350NM website that will be updated daily. The 350NM website will have links to full bill texts and information on the bill status including upcoming committee hearing schedules.
Learn how to use the online tools so you can effectively contact your legislator and make public comments at committee hearings remotely or in person. 350 membership involvement is critical to success of this legislature session.
